LIMO Practice Exam

The East West Tollway, known as I-88, extends from the western suburbs of Chicago, connecting with the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway, which is I-90. However, the main route of I-88 begins at the interchange with I-290 in the suburbs and travels westward. This connection is significant because I-290 serves as a major expressway that provides access to various highways and offers routes for commuters traveling in and out of the Chicago area.

Understanding how I-88 relates to I-290 illustrates its importance within the regional transportation network, facilitating travel for residents and businesses in the vicinity. It's essential to recognize I-290's role as a connector and its geographic position, which allows for smooth transitions between the highways. Thus, the correct option is rooted in the direct starting point of I-88 along its existing infrastructure, with I-290 serving as that crucial initial expressway.
